Job Brief Summary

Cloud Operations fuels the growth and the reputation of the company as the trusted service provider. We operate global, secure, highly available, resilient, and elastic infrastructure that enables customer success, product stability, service efficacy, and partner productivity. Cloud Operations responsibility spans across Developer Operations (DevOps), Release Engineering, Database Administration, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Network Operations Center (NOC), and Tooling.

The DevOps team at Prime Trust is responsible for partnering with the Engineering organization to improve developer velocity, efficiency, productivity and satisfaction. We are a highly professional and friendly team that enjoys working together in a collaborative environment. We have a close bond with the Engineering team to work together to create the next financial solution. We loathe technical debt, and toil, and seek to have tooling and systems in place that ease the burden for everyone. We are looking for an experienced and talented Staff DevOps Engineer to join the team. Do you have a passion for building tools and services to allow developers to be more efficient? Are you an expert with AWS and Terraform? Do you have experience with automating CI/CD pipelines and an appetite for making them reliable, efficient, and secure? If so, you might be a great fit for the DevOps team!

Experience and Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience with AWS required, AWS Solutions Architect Professional preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience with Terraform required
  • 5+ years’ experience in DevOps Engineering or similar software engineering role
  • 5+ years’ experience with Python (3.x), JavaScript, Goland and/or Rust
  • 3+ years’ experience with containerization, specifically Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficient with GutHub/GitOps, Argo (workflows, events etc)
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines (creating, optimization, troubleshooting, best practices)
  • Experience with instrumentation, logging and alerting methods and best practices
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated project development and leadership skills
  • Experience with industry compliance standards such as PCI and SOC-2
  • Be an example to others through demonstrated professionalism, discipline, humility, and collaboration
  • A passion for making data driven decisions

Job Responsibilities

  • As an expert in both AWS and Terraform, you will not only be a subject-matter-expert in these areas, but will also teach/coach junior engineers on the team
  • Partner with the Engineering organization to identify friction in shipping code
  • Develop new automation or tooling to make the SDLC as efficient and reliable as possible - specifically Build, Deploy and Test
  • Iterate on best practices to increase the quality and velocity of deployments Track and report on critical KPIs
  • Participate in an on-call rotation
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Or equivalent experience

Location - Remote
